BuroHappold Engineering

Event: Bring Your Daughter to Work Day on 26 April
We at BuroHappold Engineering were delighted to host our Bring Your Daughter to Work Day on Wednesday 26th April. Our London, Bath and Leeds offices welcomed 20 girls aged between 11-14. The day consisted of a ‘People Like Me’ session followed by two engineering related activities. The girls designed and built a house prototype that could withstand flood waters and took part in a competition to see which team could build the tallest tower with limited resources against the clock! Role model discussions and Q&A sessions took place with several of our female engineers and the girls were also treated to a virtual reality session where our projects came to life for them. We had great feedback from all involved, from the girls to employees, on what was an enjoyable and insightful day.

In total 21 girls attended the day and had such a great time the team want to run the event again next year!
