Join professional engineer, physicist, and television scientist Maggie Aderin-Pocock on this one day practical course to learn how to communicate effectively with clarity and passion. Delegates will be shown how to analyse and prepare their work for communication to different audiences; learn techniques for presenting in person and practice doing all this on camera.

Maggie is the presenter of the iconic BBC astronomy series “The Sky at Night”. She also led the Optical Instrumentation Group at Astrium, one of Europe’s leading space companies. She will be training delegates alongside award-winning science TV producers and presentation trainers, Screenhouse. Through the day delegates will have the chance to develop their own communication skills through practical exercises.

Courses are delivered for specific groups of women in STEM, including:

Corporate women in STEM: The aim is to inspire women in the corporate world to communicate their work, whether making an internal business case, pitching to clients, doing media interviews, or presenting to the board.

Women in STEM researchers: Learn how to communicate your research effectively with clarity and passion. Delegates will be shown how to analyse and prepare their work for communication to different audiences; learn techniques for communicating their research in person and maximising its impact.
