People Like Me Trainers

Book a People Like Me trainer for your organisation or school.

If you are interested in receiving training for up to 15 people in your organisation or school, the following trainers are available to deliver in house sessions. Once trained, attendees will be able to present the People Like Me resource to girls.

Professor Averil Macdonald OBE, DSc, D.Univ CPhys FInstP FRS

Non-Executive Director of WISE, Author of the 'Not for People Like Me' Research Report & materials for the People Like Me pack

Averil Macdonald is Professor Emerita at the University of Reading and leads on both Research Impact and Diversity for SEPnet, the South East Physics Network. She is passionate about the resource and is available to train companies and organisations on the successful delivery of the pack.

Fay Best

Associate for WISE

Fay has considerable experience in delivering training to companies and organisations in her capacity as an independent consultant, specialising in gender equality in STEM. Fay has a background in both engineering and teaching.

Ruth Farenga

WISE Associate

Ruth has experience in project management, corporate partnership development and training services delivered to organisations seeking to have impact while enhancing their reputation. Ruth also has 10 years’ experience in the education sector.

Sarah Behenna

Trainer and Educator

Sarah has a background in science and special educational needs teaching, and is currently the chair of the WISE Bristol Hub committee. Sarah has experience delivering the People Like Me Resource to organisations and directly to girls in school.

Shagufta Sharif

Projects Officer at WISE

Shagufta is experienced in delivering the resource to schools and community organisations, and has a background in Girlguiding. Shagufta is responsible for helping to develop the People Like Me project in her capacity as Projects Officer at the WISE Campaign.
