People Like Me in Thurrock

Are you an employer, school or individual working in STEM in south Essex? Do you want to engage girls with STEM careers and to access higher education? Would you like the opportunity to take part in an innovative new outreach project for free?

If you’re ready to help change young people's lives, then this is the project for you!

We are creating a tailed resource pack for the Thurrock region featuring local labour market info, local employers and local role models. Delivered by WISE and the University of East London, the project is based on WISE’s revolutionary People Like Me resource which helps girls explore STEM careers on their own terms and will support them to access higher education.

What’s in for you?

For employers there is a chance to nominate inspirational role models and be featured as an employer of choice for women seeking careers in STEM in the local area.

For schools, you have the opportunity to inspire the girls at your school and support them to pursue successful and rewarding pathways. Be the first to access the new resource tailored specifically to your local area.
