Ever considered engineering as a career?
Think science isn’t for people like you?
Think again!!
On exam results day, join a group of young women for live advice and information about their exciting careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) and hear about why STEM is for people like you!
Throughout the day our panel of women, from the WISE Young Women’s Board (WYWB), will be on hand to inspire, advise and point you in the right direction via Twitter. The WYWB was established on the WISE 30th anniversary to encourage the next 1 million women into STEM industries. All the women are under 30 years old and successful in their early careers, the board is here to help demystify working as an engineer or in maths and sciences. Some are still at university and others are working in industry or are apprentices, but they certainly don’t all have the GCSEs and A levels you thought they did!
To join in, tweet @thewisecampaign with your questions - or search #nextsteps for inspiration.
To find out more go to www.wisecampaign.org/resultsday and join the live Q&A on:
13th August for AS and A-Level Results Day (4-6pm)
20th August for GCSE Results Day (4-6pm)
Don’t miss this chance to chat to a whole range of young women like you who’re already working in jobs you’ve never thought of or never heard of in science, industry, technology and maths to learn more about opportunities after school. You may have overlooked the dream job you never knew even existed.
