The 2014 A level results out on 14 August show an increase in the number of girls with A level physics.
14 August 2014
A total of 7743 girls passed their A level physics, 364 more than in 2013. As A level physics is required for most engineering degrees, this means a potential 364 more women available to be recruited by the engineering industry than last year. Although still a long way short of where we want to be, it is a lot better than the previous year when the increase was just 18.
