International consultancy and construction company Mace, has launched its Mace Women of the Future programme to develop top female talent across the business.
15 May 2015
Initially launched in the UK, the business intends to expand the programme across its global hubs by the end of 2015.
Alison Nimmo, Chief Executive of The Crown Estate and Debra Ward, Managing Director of Macro both spoke at the programme’s launch event, held at Mace’s headquarters in London, sharing their experience of progressing their careers in the industry.
Responding to the need to retain and attract top talent to the business in order to achieve ambitious growth plans by 2020, the Mace Group Board and Talent Development Board have launched the programme as part of a wider executive development series, which includes a partnership with Imperial College, London.
In order to deliver the best resources and support for programme participants, Mace has partnered with the everywomanNetwork and has signed up as a corporate member of WISE (Women in Science and Engineering). The everywomanNetwork is a virtual network and online self-development platform, providing a wealth of development resources and advice, while membership of WISE will also provide training and speaking opportunities as well as opportunities to share best practice with other STEM employees. Women involved with the programme will also be provided with coaches and mentors to support their development.
Mace Chief Executive, Mark Reynolds, said: “Over the past two years we have significant progress improving the benefits we offer our staff and increasing our gender diversity mix. This programme is a key milestone for Mace as we embark on our next stage of development where both women and men can thrive.”
