Reporting to the Northern Europe Finance Director, this role is responsible for collating, interpreting and challenge the different performance indicators and planning cycle of the Region. Responsible for ‘telling the story’ of the actual and forecast business results, managing & coordinating the CH Northern Europe Forecasting and Planning process together with consolidating and analysing performance for the Area and accountable for publishing all financial business reports, scorecards and performance presentations

Actual Performance & Forecasting cycle
• Own and operate financial models to capture, analyse and report actual and forecast performance across both brands and geographies
• Working closely with finance business partners, compile data submissions, reports and slides which align with the Commercial Review Meeting Cycle (CRM)
• Perform high level analytical review of financial results to identify anomalies in trends and inconsistencies with previous forecasts, flagging major issues to senior management
• Responsible for preparation and coordination of internal financial reports by brand and channel together with high level commentary to support forecast
• Responsible for setting the guidelines and templates for Long Term Forecasting
• Responsible for Cerps CF Forecasting implementation
• Support the Daily Sales tracking & reporting
• Support preparation of the weekly sales call
• Support and collate the GB Advertising and Promotional forecasts.
• Preparation of monthly scorecards, management packs and any associated required commentary
• Preparation of monthly town hall performance slides
• Preparation of analysis and commentary for standard reporting requirements to Europe (GM analysis, flash sales, overdue debt, innovation, Gross to Net etc)
• Manage communications and timelines across Northern Europe clusters (Benelux, Nordics, Ireland, GB) to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Responsible for driving process improvement initiatives to drive greater automation of end to end process
• Liaising with other European Areas and Europe/Americas Controller to download and agree on requirements and timelines, and propose common approaches and effective ways of working
• Deputise Northern Europe Finance Director on Europe/Americas presentations/requirements.
• Support GENPACT/Knowledge Centre with the reports they produce by being the Business owner of the report and checking the update have been done correctly
• Represent the Northern Europe region and be the point of contact for CERPS implementation and system improvement requirements.

Planning Cycle (annual operating plan and multi-year strategic plan) & Mid Year Update
• Operate financial models for capturing plan assumptions ensuring alignment across brands with clarity of drivers and drainers across all geographies. For GB, help modelling a brand/channel level forecasting.
• Supporting line manager in preparation of analysis to support and explain category and channel business performance over plan horizon, ensure alignment and understanding with commercial leaders of the key performance drivers and in doing so influence the direction and content of commercial plans at a macro level
• Responsible for driving process improvement initiatives to drive greater automation of end to end process

Data Management & Reporting
• Responsibility over the Competency Centre data management and reporting, under CERPS environment after transitioning from Novartis.
• Responsible of managing the Knowledge Centre Team in India.

• Undertake ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed by the Finance team.
• Analysis and reporting key trends & issues for +£700m Northern Europe region
• Integrity and Delivery of consolidated forecast and plan submission to UNISON/BISON
• Insightful analysis and commentary to support commercial forecast and plan to identify areas requiring action and following up on any actions noted
• Responsible for leading best practice sharing across the area
• Responsible for the finance framework of the sku rationalization across the area
• Responsible for the GB A&P Miscellaneous management
• Support any internal audits related to the CCC Cycle and reporting

Basic qualifications:

• Finance / business degree or professional accountancy qualification
• Experience working in commercial P&L environment and responsible for partnering those responsible for performance delivery
• Ability to understand the commercial and financial impact of decisions
• Corporate/Reporting experience
• Experience working with client groups with ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at various levels
• Ability to understand underlying business drivers & drainers
• Proficient financial knowledge of modeling, analysis, evaluation, and forecasting with strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to gather and analyse internal & external data from a wide range of sources in order to drive commercial insight
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and across a matrixed environment
• Strong team building skills
• Good interpersonal skills demonstrated by creation of a network of key partners within Finance and the business and the ability to bridge communications gap between finance and non-finance
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks within a project using project management skills
• Excellent Excel and strong PowerPoint skills

Preferred qualifications:
• Demonstrated business skills executed with integrity and independent commercial judgment
• Ability to effectively use negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrates the ability to ruthlessly prioritise workload in order to meet critical deadlines in line with business requirements
• SAP and BISON knowledge is preferred.
