Job Purpose:
As an Occupational Toxicologist you will provide key support to allow GSK to identify risks associated with working with chemicals, and to establish internal work practices and controls to protect GSK employees and contractors. You will provide expert GSK occupational toxicology assessments and guidance for GSK products and process materials used on a global basis. In delivering your role, you will act as a point of contact and coordination for Occupational Toxicology for GSK operations in R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain (GMS), Vaccines, and Consumer Health. Key responsibilities include supporting progression of GSK pharmaceutical projects by timely provision of material health hazard assessments (used in technology transfer, sourcing decisions, etc), and the provision of worldwide training in toxicologically-related topics for GSK Safety Professionals, operators, and line management. This position also allows GSK to establish and manage compliance with multiple regulatory programs associated with chemical management.

LOCATION - Please Note: Ideally the successful applicant will be based at the Ware GMS manufacturing site (in Hertfordshire). However, we are happy to consider applicants who are (or can be based) at our Stevenage site on the understanding that they attend meetings, as required, at Ware GMS. Please ensure you highlight your location in your application.

About You:
This role would suit a driven and motivated individual who has strong relevant experience. Strong people skills are important.
