Committed to growing our business, an opportunity has arisen for a knowledgeable and highly motivated Network Support Specialist to join our team. Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

This is a 3rd line hands on role primarily responsible for the support of Jardine Group network infrastructure, support applications and systems including the support and delivery of software and technology projects as set out by the IT Service Manager.

You will be helping drive technology innovation across Jardine Motors Group working within a team of 6, reporting to the Network and Telecommunications Team Leader. You’ll be managing technology projects from seed to delivery throughout the development lifecycle to ensure projects are delivered on time and budget. You will also be providing assistance with the production of documentation including business case, requirements, scope, risks, timeline maintenance, testing / Q&A, delivery and review.

For this role as a Network Support Specialist, the successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working within a dedicated Network / IT Support function, with the ability to work on your own initiative and within a team environment.
  • A proven track record in support within a ticket-based Service Desk function (phone, email and alert based incident management)
  • An enthusiastic, self-motivated attitude, prepared to go above and beyond as required to support the wider team.

Essential experience and knowledge required for this Network Support Specialist role includes:

  • Network – LAN/WAN – DHCP/DNS
  • Windows 7 and 10
  • Server – Microsoft 2008, 2016 Support & Performance Analysis
  • Email – Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2016 Support
  • Firewall – CISCO
  • Active Directory & Group Policy
  • Change, Availability & Capacity Management
  • SQL – 2008/2016
  • Data Backup Applications (Asigra/Symantec experience would be ideal)
  • Antivirus (Trend and forensic analysis experience advantageous)
  • VMware – Vsphere 6.0/6.5
  • Server/Desktop application support
  • Project, document and time management
  • 3rd party management and escalation
  • Autoline/Kerrigde; Fortinet; Remote Access Systems (2FA); Power-shell/Power-scription tools; Storage Systems (SAN/NAS) support and performance analysis and MDM knowledge/experience is also desirable, but not essential
