To fill the role of Professor and Head of the UCL Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering we are looking for candidates of international standing with a background in leading edge research obtained in university or in an advanced role in industry.
•The Head of Department will be responsible for leading its strategic direction and growth at a highly exciting time in the institution’s development.
•You will also contribute to the delivery of the strategic objectives for the Department, Faculty and UCL.
•As a member of the Dean’s Faculty Leadership Team, you will be responsible for proactively contributing and leading on Faculty and UCL initiatives.
•Building on the Faculty’s existing reputation, you will determine and implement the Department’s strategic operating plan.
•You will also be responsible for the implementation and general overview of processes within the Department, to ensure the educational progress and welfare of students registered within the Department.
You will have an excellent academic profile in your own right in any of the disciplinary areas covered by the department.
You will have successfully led the development of world-class research and educational activity.
You will offer a compelling vision for the future of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at UCL; to seize this opportunity to contribute to the further success of one of the world’s leading teaching and research universities.
